MTM.Design at CTDA: Engaging with the North American MTM Industry

MTM.Design was present in New York during the latest CTDA event, represented by Antoine, Marketing Manager, Phil, Sales Director, and Nicolas, Operations Manager. The event provided an opportunity to meet with industry professionals, clients, and partners active in the North American custom tailoring and Made-to-Measure market.

CTDA events remain a relevant meeting point for businesses involved in MTM, bringing together tailoring professionals, brands, fabric suppliers, and service providers.

About the CTDA

The Custom Tailors and Designers Association (CTDA) plays an important role in supporting and structuring the custom tailoring and Made-to-Measure industry in North America. Through its events, educational initiatives, and industry representation, CTDA facilitates dialogue between clothiers, brands, suppliers, and technology partners.

MTM.Design is closely involved with CTDA through its leadership. Eric Le Gallais, CEO of MTM.Design, is a CTDA board member and serves as Technology Chair, contributing to discussions around digital tools, operational standards, and the evolving role of technology within the custom clothing industry.

This involvement reflects MTM.Design’s long-term commitment to supporting the MTM ecosystem beyond software, by participating in industry-wide initiatives and conversations.

The Event

The CTDA event itself brought together professionals from across the custom tailoring and MTM landscape. Throughout the event, Antoine, Phil, and Nicolas met with clothiers, MTM brands, and partners to exchange on current practices, operational challenges, and business organization within the U.S. market.

The format of the event allowed for both structured meetings and informal conversations, providing a clear view of how MTM businesses operate across multiple locations, sales teams, and production partners.

Keynote Session

A central moment of the event was the Keynote Session, The keynote, titled “The New Standard for Custom Clothiers in 2026”, addressed current and future expectations within the custom clothing industry, with a focus on standards, client experience, and operational consistency.

The session featured contributions from industry professionals:

With representatives from marketing, sales, and operations on site, the team was able to align perspectives and maintain close contact with clients and partners.
