MTM.Design at Pitti Uomo 109
MTM.Design was present in Florence during Pitti Uomo 109, held in January 2026. Phil, Sales Director, and Antoine, Marketing Manager were on site throughout the week to meet clients, partners, and suppliers within the Made-to-Measure and menswear industry.
Pitti Uomo continues to serve as a key meeting point for the international menswear ecosystem. For MTM.Design, the week was structured around appointments, supplier meetings, and industry events, with a focus on ongoing discussions rather than formal product presentations.
A Showroom Close to the Show
Rather than exhibiting inside the Fortezza da Basso, MTM.Design hosted meetings in a private apartment located a short walk from the main exhibition area.
This setup allowed for scheduled, one-to-one meetings in a quieter environment. The apartment format supported detailed conversations with MTM brands, tailors, and partners, and provided a practical setting to review ongoing projects and collaborations.
Time at the Fortezza da Basso
Alongside meetings at the apartment showroom, Antoine and Phil spent time at the Fortezza da Basso, visiting exhibitors and meeting with suppliers present inside the main show. These visits were used to exchange with fabric mills, manufacturers, and menswear brands, and to review current collections. Walking the show also provided an overview of the menswear styles presented during Pitti Uomo, from tailoring to more casual and contemporary proposals.
Industry Events and Evenings
In parallel with daytime appointments, Antoine and Phil attended several private industry events held across Florence between January 13 and 15, 2026. These events offered additional opportunities to meet partners and industry contacts outside of formal meetings.
The week began on January 13 with an evening hosted by Lana Royale at Borgo San Jacopo, near the Arno. During Pitti week, Antoine and Phil also visited the British Institute of Florence at Palazzo Lanfredini, where Fox Brothers were presenting by appointment from January 13 to 15.
On January 14, Holland & Sherry hosted a drinks reception at the Hotel Garibaldi Blu, bringing together clients and partners during the show. The same evening, Dormeuil organized a cocktail dinner at the 25hours Hotel in Piazza di San Paolino, held in connection with Pitti Uomo and their collaboration with Blandin & Delloye. Later that evening, Huddersfield Fine Worsteds and Harris Tweed Hebrides hosted an event at Palazzo Tessuti, near Piazza Santa Croce, marking the launch of Harris Tweed II.
Meetings with Fabric Suppliers
During the week, MTM.Design also met with Loro Piana and Ariston at the MTM.Design showroom. These meetings were dedicated to ongoing collaboration and alignment between fabric collections and MTM processes, including collection updates and coordination between mills and MTM partners.
Conclusion
Pitti Uomo 109 was a working week focused on meetings, exchanges, and maintaining relationships across the Made-to-Measure and menswear industry. Hosting meetings in a private showroom, combined with time spent at the Fortezza da Basso and participation in industry events, supported efficient discussions and reinforced MTM.Design’s presence within the MTM ecosystem.
