Back from Atlanta: The Custom Show 2026
We went to Atlanta's Embassy Suites by Hilton in Buckhead for one of the most anticipated events on the luxury menswear calendar: The Custom Show 2026, held February 24–25.
Hosted by Trands USA, The Custom Show is unlike any other trade event in our industry. It's intimate by design, a carefully curated gathering built exclusively for luxury custom clothiers, made-to-measure retailers, independent specialty stores, and bespoke ateliers. There are no crowded convention floors here, no generic booths competing for attention. What you get instead is exactly what the custom clothing world deserves: a focused, appointment-friendly environment where craftsmanship takes center stage and every conversation actually means something.
Why We Show Up
For us at MTM Design, events like this aren't just about visibility, they're about connection. The custom clothing industry thrives on relationships: between clothiers and their clients, between designers and manufacturers, between the people who make things and the people who sell them. The Custom Show brings all of that into one room, and that's rare.
This year's edition brought together some of the finest names in MTM suiting, shirting, luxury knitwear, high-end accessories, and tailoring, along with a growing selection of custom womenswear offerings that reflect where the industry is heading. It was a strong reminder that the made-to-measure space is not standing still.
Connecting with Partners
We are grateful for the opportunity these events create to sit down with our clients, align on vision, and talk about the future. This year, we took that time with Kilby, a suiting atelier based in New Orleans that offers custom made-to-measure garments, from tailored suits and jackets to shirts, trousers, and overcoats. Founded by James Collier and Kristen Engelsen Collier, Kilby brings a thoughtful, slow-fashion approach to luxury custom clothing, and they are exactly the kind of partner that makes this work meaningful.
The Setting Made a Difference
Buckhead is a fitting backdrop for an event like this. The Embassy Suites by Hilton offered a relaxed, professional atmosphere that encouraged the kind of unhurried, meaningful dialogue you simply can't have at a massive convention center. Over two days, we had the space to really dig in, to look closely at fabrics, to talk through programs, and to think carefully about what our clients need next.
Looking Ahead
If you weren't at The Custom Show this year, we'd encourage you to keep an eye on future editions. Interested in learning more about what we do? Reach out directly, we'd love to connect.
