Stylbiella: The Quiet Excellence of Biella's Most Refined Fabric House

There is a particular type of excellence that doesn't announce itself — that earns respect through the quality of the work alone, without the support of outsized marketing budgets or celebrity collaborations. Stylbiella is that kind of house. Founded more than 50 years ago in Biella, Italy's undisputed capital of fine woolens, Stylbiella began as a supplier to local clothiers before quietly earning its place among the most respected fabric houses in the global tailoring industry.

Today, Stylbiella's collections are used by leading made-to-measure brands across Europe, Asia, and the Americas — not because the name is famous, but because the cloth is extraordinary. Season after season, their bunches arrive with the same quality of construction, the same refinement of palette, and the same Biellese seriousness of purpose.

At MTM.Design, we include Stylbiella in our supplier network for precisely this reason. We look for suppliers who deliver genuine quality to our partners — and Stylbiella does, consistently, collection after collection.

Biella: Where Excellence is the Baseline

To understand Stylbiella, you need to understand Biella. This compact city in the Piedmont foothills of northern Italy has been producing fine woolens since the Middle Ages. Clean Alpine water, a skilled local workforce, and generations of accumulated textile knowledge made it the natural capital of Italian fabric excellence. The mills of Biella have clothed European courts, dressed the world's tailors, and set the standards that the global suiting industry still measures itself against.

Stylbiella was born into this tradition and has remained faithful to it. Their approach is curatorial rather than industrial — each season, the team assembles a tightly edited range of bunches that tell a coherent story about how a well-dressed client might outfit themselves for the coming months. The result is a collection that feels considered rather than comprehensive, focused rather than overwhelming.

The Current Collections: 2024, 2025 & 2026

Stylbiella organises its offer into named collections that recur across seasons — each with a clear character and end-use. Below is a complete guide to every active bunch available through MTM.Design, organised by season.

January 2026 — The Most Current Season

The January 2026 delivery brings seven new bunches alongside continuations of established lines. This is the most recent Stylbiella season available on the platform.

Duke — 6311 A new addition for 2026, the Duke bunch occupies the premium end of the Stylbiella suiting range. Refined constructions in classic suit weights, with the kind of authoritative hand that suits a formal professional wardrobe.

Daytona — 6316 The Daytona bunch brings a sportier, more dynamic energy to the SS26 offering — lighter constructions with a confident colour palette suited to business casual and contemporary suiting.

Sunside — 6315 & 6302 Two Sunside bunches are active for Jan 2026, covering slightly different weight and construction profiles. The Sunside line is Stylbiella's warm-weather suiting answer — breathable, lightweight, and effortlessly Italian in its palette of soft navies, stone, and warm neutrals.

Skyline — 6314 & 6301 Similarly, two Skyline bunches are active. Skyline is one of Stylbiella's most enduring collection names — a business suiting line characterised by clean surfaces, confident patterns, and the kind of versatility that makes it the backbone of a well-built MTM programme.

Cotton Life — 6313 Stylbiella's dedicated cotton suiting bunch. Pure cotton constructions for the warm season — comfortable, breathable, and far more refined than typical cotton tailoring. Excellent for tropical climates and summer-weight suits.

Pure Linen — 6312 The Pure Linen bunch speaks to the summer suiting client who wants texture and character as much as comfort. Stylbiella's linen construction is notably clean — the natural irregularities of the fibre are present but controlled, producing a cloth that drapes elegantly rather than collapsing.

Ceremony — 6303 The Ceremony bunch is Stylbiella's dedicated formal and occasionwear collection — fabrics suited to morning suits, dinner jackets, and the suits worn at life's landmark moments. Classic formal colourways in constructions with the weight and surface refinement that ceremonial dressing demands.

July 2025 — AW25 Collection

The Autumn/Winter 2025 delivery (launched July 2025) covers the full spectrum of cold-weather suiting and jacketing.

Seasonal — 6201 The Seasonal bunch is Stylbiella's core all-weather suiting line — the workhorse of the collection and consistently one of their best sellers. Medium-weight Merino wool suitings in the essential professional wardrobe palette: navies, charcoals, mid-greys, and a selection of classic patterns. Available also in a shirt version (6201.B) for brands building complete wardrobe programmes.

Expedition — 6202 & 6210 Two Expedition bunches in AW25, continuing Stylbiella's most versatile line. Expedition fabrics are engineered for movement and travel — wool constructions with enhanced crease recovery and a slightly more casual handle than the Seasonal line. Available in a shirt version (6202.B). Ideal for the client who wears a suit in transit as much as in the boardroom.

Jacket — 6203 The AW25 Jacket bunch is dedicated to jacketing rather than suiting — constructions appropriate for blazers and sport coats rather than matched suits. A broader palette of patterns, colours, and textures than the suiting lines. Available also in a shirt version (6203.B).

Power — 6211 Power is Stylbiella's performance suiting line — wool constructions with enhanced durability, recovery, and structure. For the client whose suit needs to work as hard as they do, from morning meetings through to evening events without losing its shape.

Noble Flannel — 6212 The Noble Flannel bunch is one of the most characterful in the Stylbiella AW range — a softly raised flannel with a depth and warmth of hand that makes it exceptional for winter suiting. Classic flannel colourways: medium greys, charcoals, warm navies, and tonal mid-tones. One of the most requested AW bunches in the Stylbiella catalogue.

April 2025 — SS25 Collection

The Spring/Summer 2025 delivery covers the full warm-weather wardrobe, with an expanded range of constructions and a notable new entry.

Selected Edition — 6100 The Selected Edition is Stylbiella's premium-tier SS25 offering — a curated selection of the finest constructions from the season. This bunch is for the client who wants the best, presented without compromise. The go-to for the top of a brand's fabric hierarchy.

Seasonal — 6101 The SS25 iteration of Stylbiella's core suiting line. Lighter weights and a warmer palette than the AW version, but the same fundamental character — reliable, refined, and easy to build a collection around.

Expedition — 6102 & 6111 Two Expedition bunches for SS25. The Expedition line's performance credentials are particularly relevant in warm-weather weights — crease recovery becomes critical when travelling in summer, and these fabrics are engineered to handle it. Available also in shirt version (6102.B).

Jacket — 6103 The SS25 Jacket bunch covers spring and summer jacketing constructions — lighter weights, more open weaves, and a broader range of colourways suited to the warm-season blazer.

Shirts — 6104 A dedicated shirting bunch for SS25. Fine wool and blended shirt constructions — the kind of fabrics that produce shirts with far more character and comfort than conventional cotton broadcloth. For brands adding shirting to their MTM offer.

Upper Casual / Afar — 6105 (Feb 2025) The Afar bunch is Stylbiella's smart-casual answer — fabrics that sit between formal suiting and casual dressing. Textured constructions, relaxed colourways, and a handle suited to the jacket-without-a-tie end of the wardrobe. Launched slightly ahead of the main SS25 delivery.

Charm — 6110 Charm is a newer addition to the Stylbiella palette — a bunch with a more expressive, lifestyle-oriented character than the core suiting lines. Interesting textures, a warmer and more personal colour range, and constructions suited to the client who dresses with intention rather than convention.

December 2024 — AW24/SS24 Continuations

These bunches remain active on the MTM.Design platform and represent excellent value for brands building depth into their fabric libraries.

Selected Edition — 6000 The AW/SS24 Selected Edition — same premium curation logic as the SS25 version, with the characteristic Stylbiella edit of only the best constructions from the season.

Seasonal — 6001 Available also in shirt version (6001.B).

Expedition — 6002 Available also in shirt version (6002.B).

Jackets — 6003 Available also in shirt version (6003.B).

Classics — 6011 The Classics bunch is exactly what the name suggests — Stylbiella's archive of enduring suiting constructions. Patterns and constructions that have proven their value across multiple seasons and remain as relevant today as when they were first woven.

Expedition — 6010 A continuation of the Expedition line in the Dec 2024 delivery.

The Stylbiella Design Philosophy

What sets Stylbiella apart from larger, more commercial Italian mills is their commitment to an editorial approach. Each season, a small team selects and develops a focused range of constructions — not trying to be everything to everyone, but aiming to be exactly right for the client who knows what they want.

Several characteristics recur consistently across seasons:

Expedition engineering. The Expedition line is one of the most important in the Stylbiella catalogue — a fabric designed around the reality of modern professional life, where a suit needs to survive air travel, long days, and changing environments without losing its composure. Crease recovery, shape retention, and a comfortable hand are built into the construction from the start.

Seasonal intelligence. Stylbiella's seasonal collections are genuinely seasonal — not merely labelled by month, but constructed for the temperature, humidity, and lifestyle conditions of the period. The Noble Flannel is a winter fabric in the truest sense; the Sunside and Pure Linen are made for summer heat.

Palette restraint. Stylbiella's colour direction is notably restrained — not timid, but disciplined. The palette changes with each season but always prioritises wearability over trend. The result is fabrics that feel current without becoming dated by the following year.

Where Stylbiella Fits in a Made-to-Measure Programme

Within the MTM.Design fabric hierarchy, Stylbiella occupies a powerful position: refined mid-tier luxury. This means fabrics that are genuinely premium — better than anything available in mainstream retail — without the extraordinary price points associated with the most iconic heritage names.

For brands targeting clients in the $1,500–$4,000 suit range, Stylbiella provides the ideal fabric foundation. Italian quality, Biellese provenance, and a design sensibility that communicates refinement without ostentation. The named bunches — Expedition, Skyline, Noble Flannel, Ceremony, Selected Edition — give clients a reference point that is meaningful without being intimidating.

The availability of shirt-fabric versions alongside suiting and jacketing bunches also makes Stylbiella particularly valuable for brands building complete wardrobe MTM programmes, where clients expect to coordinate suit and shirt fabrics from the same house.

Why MTM.Design Partners with Stylbiella

MTM.Design helps brands communicate a clear value proposition to their clients. Stylbiella enables our partners to reach the segment of the market that prizes discretion over branding — clients who know what good cloth feels like and value it accordingly.

The range and depth of active Stylbiella bunches on the MTM.Design platform — spanning SS25, AW25, and the new Jan 2026 season — means that brands have real choice: the warm-weather performance of Expedition, the cold-weather luxury of Noble Flannel, the ceremonial authority of the Ceremony bunch, and the premium positioning of the Selected Edition, all from a single Italian supplier with a consistent identity and quality standard.
